SpectraSeal®
(PSS-1000)
This catalog explains the
SpectraSeal's unique sealing concept. Information regarding
applications, features, benefits. SpectraSeals can operate
over wide temperature ranges and offer near universal media
compatibility. The SpectraSeal consists of a U-shaped jacket
made from Spectralloy compounds, and is energized by a stainless
steel or *Elgiloy® spring. The exceptional operating temperature
range, resistance to most chemicals, and low-friction characteristics
make the SpectraSeal an excellent product for a wide range
of uses.

Z-Seal
Product Line for Dynamic Applications (ZSM-1000)
The Z-Seal is a squeeze type
seal, combining the excellent sealability and low compression
set of a soft rubber lip with the greater anti-extrusion characteristics
of a hard thermoplastic base. Under low-pressure conditions,
the sealing lip provides its own compressive seal force. As
pressure increases, hydrostatic pressure is mechanically transmitted
through the elastomeric seal element into the anti-extrusion
base. The applied force then deflects radially in a controlled
manner, closing the extrusion gap behind the sealing lip.
Under this condition, maximum sealing effectiveness is achieved.
Extended
Range Hydraulic Seal Line (PER-1000)
Highlighting the advanced
range of SKF Polyseal Inc products, this brochure covers sealing principles
of the lubrithane Polyseal, the Z-Seal and Deep-Z Seal, style
selection, excluders, available material combinations, temperature
range by polymer, fluid compatibility table, and a problem
solvers section.
This brochure is a must for
anyone who must deal with fluid power applications.
UBR
Seals (UBR-1000)
The UBR-style U-cup is a single
element seal with generous lead-in angles for simple assembly
every time. The 93 Shore A Lubrithane material provide good
service from -40F to over 225F in most hydraulic fluids.
The SKF Polyseal Inc UBR Seal provides
efficient rod sealing under most conditions. UBR seals combine
the latest in rod seal design technology with the advantages
of "net molded" manufacturing. Net molded single
element seals are simple and repeatable. Since there are no
operator dependent processes involved in the manufacture of
these seals, each ring will be a replicate of the first.
ZBR Seal (ZBR-1000)
The ZBR Seal offers several improvements
over conventional rod seals. Developed over four years of testing,
it provides improved performance based on proven technology. Contact
SKF Polyseal Engineering for information.
Engineering
Guide (MPS 2500)
This design
guide and catalog offers detailed information on the use of
molded lip seals in reciprocating hydraulic and pneumatic
applications. The discussions contained herein on seal shape
and material composition represent the current state of the
art. it goes far beyond any similar engineering and design
activity commonly used in traditional hydraulic and pneumatic
sealing design; however, designs for other types of applications
are available. Provides recommended grove dimensions for loaded
and nonloaded u-cup seals.

Crown
Seal®
(CSM-1000)
The Crown Seal is part of
the Modular Piston Seal Family. This brochure describes the
advantages of selecting an SKF Polyseal Inc Crown Seal. You can find illustrations
of typical applications and charts providing information regarding
temperature range by polymer. In addition, a chart is provided
offering information regarding compound features, recommended
service, temperature range, abrasion resistance, chemical
resistance, wear resistance and to dtermine gland dimensions.
Capped
T-Seal®
(CTS-1000)
SKF Polyseal Inc's Capped T-Seal is a double-acting,
high-pressure, high performance piston seal, accommodating
larger extrusion gaps when used with SKF Polyseal Inc's close tolerance
WGT wear rings. Major features include excellent extrusion
resistance, low friction and low wear in a compact stable
design.
SKF Polyseal Inc's Capped T-Seals are available
in a wide range of materials suitable for various fluid power
and industrial services. We recommend taking a closer look
at the Capped T-Seal. You may find it's just what you are
looking for.
Modular
Piston Seal Group (MG-1000)
The SKF Polyseal Inc piston seal group
consists of five different styles of piston seals. The Modular
Piston Seals will retrofit the same groove. This allows the
user to customize the choice of a piston seal to the demands
of a particular application.
The brochure includes application
guidelines, part numbering guide, and product illustrations.
T-Seal
Industrial Series 100 - 400 (TSM-1000)
The T-Seal Industrial Series
100 - 400 Brochure provides useful information to the design
engineer such as piston clearance limits, throat clearance
limits for rod applications and illustrations of applications.
The brochure also includes tables which contain the SKF Polyseal Inc part
numbering system for T-Seals, dimensions, and tolerances.
Piston
Rings (PPR-1000)
The SKF Polyseal Inc Piston Rings are a
superior answer to single and double-acting applications.
SKF Polyseal Inc Piston Seals are machined to close tolerances. They are
used in conjunction with an o-ring or square-ring loader.
The Piston Rings are excellent for reciprocating situations,
slow rotary and oscillating applications because of their
self-lubricating qualities - virtually eliminating slip-stick.
SKF Polyseal Inc Piston Rings can be produced for oversize bores where
the application requires. In addition, metric sizes are available.
SKF Polyseal Inc Piston Seals are a low-cost alternative for many uses.
Engineered
and Machined Grooved PTFE Piston Rings (GPR-1000)
The SKF Polyseal Inc Grooved Piston Ring
is a high performance, bi-directional seal intended for use
where extremely low leakage is required. Low leakage is attained
by the high unit loading exerted by the two legs of the piston
ring due to the reduced seal footprint. In addition to increasing
the unit loading, the groove on the dynamic surface of the
seal acts to retain a small amount of lubricant - thus reducing
friction and seal wear. Good seal stability is achieved by
using a square cut elastomeric energizer. SKF Polyseal Inc uses design
criteria taken from many years experience in the machined
plastics industry.

Precision
Close Tolerance Wear Guides (WGT-1000)
The SKF Polyseal Inc Close Tolerance Wear
Guide brochure is a useful addition to the design engineers
technical literature library. The brochure examines features
and benefits of utilizing wear guides, typical physical properties,
a part number guide, quality assurance information, piston
application and corresponding groove dimension calculations,
and finally, rod application and corresponding groove dimensions
calculations.

Buffer
Seals®
(BS-1000)
The SKF Polyseal Inc Buffer Seals brochure
is an excellent tool for hydraulic system design engineers.
It highlights a variety of applications where the buffer seal
acts as an effective secondary seal. The brochure provides
a list of available materials and PTFE compounds in which
we can produce the buffer seals. You will find a list of temperature
ranges that covers various applications and service recommendations
for each compound. In addition, there are guides to insure
the correct energizers are selected and information regarding
recommended clearances.

Excluders
